WHAT IS 'CLASSIC' LEARNING?
This learning style is entirely classroom based and requires you to attend in person with a group of peers. This benefits those who prefer interactive sessions with the opportunity to ask questions to the instructor.

WHAT IS 'BLENDED' LEARNING?
Blended learning is a combination of online learning with instructor-led training. For this course, delegates will spend 1 day learning theory via our online portal, and then spend 2 days in a classroom with peers. This option minimises time away from the workplace, while maintaining the same, high-standard of learning.

Course Requirements

This course is for people wishing to renew an existing, valid First Aid at Work certificate.

If your certificate has expired you are still able to attend this course, but the HSE recommends you attend the First Aid at Work if more than a month has elapsed since expiry. Please note that the requalification course is an intensive course with very little practice time and designed for people whose certificate is still in date. If you do decide to attend the requalification course you will need to work at the pace of the course.

  • Delegates must be aged 16 or older to attend this course.
  • Delegates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2).
  • Delegates must complete all modules.
  • Delegates must act in a professional and appropriate manner, in line with our HEART values.
  • You need to be physically fit enough to be able to demonstrate CPR*

Certification & Assessments

CERTIFICATION
Delegates who successfully complete this First Aid at Work Requalification Cours will receive a St John Ambulance certificate, which is:

  • Valid for three years
  • Recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as meeting workplace first aid requirements
  • CPD Certified: A course that meets professional standards

ASSESSMENT
Delegates must pass written assessments and continuous trainer observation to qualify. This is true of all the course formats available to delegates.

Insurance Included!

Our training includes 'Good Samaritan Insurance', giving delegates the confidence to help whenever and wherever it is needed. It covers them against claims arising from first aid they deliver outside of their workplace, club or association, and not covered by any other insurance.

To qualify, they must hold a current St John Ambulance certificate for this course. It is offered at no extra charge, as we are so confident in the standards of our first aid training delivery.
