At St John Ambulance, saving lives is at the heart of everything we do. Our HEART defibrillator range is shaped by decades of first aid knowledge and expertise, designed to give you the confidence when it matters most. We believe it's one of the most reliable AED defibrillator choices at your workplace or community.

Feature-rich and easy to use. No fuss, complete confidence

In those critical first moments of a cardiac emergency, acting quickly and with confidence is vital. The HEART defibrillator guides you every step of the way with clear voice, visual and on-screen prompts. Using the very latest clinical science, the HEART measures the casualty and delivers the necessary shocks. Additionally, with built-in 4G technology, your HEART defibrillator will automatically self-test and report its state and readiness, so you know it's ready when it matters most.

Inclusive, accessible, and portable - all in one

Designed for simplicity, the HEART defibrillator lets you switch between adult and child modes at the push of a button. Its lightweight, slim design, weighing at just 1.5kg, makes it easy to carry, so you're always prepared wherever you are.

Power in your hand, wherever you are

Introducing the HEART Pocket defibrillator, weighing only just 700g, it's designed to be with you when it matters most. Compact enough to fit in your pocket, this defibrillator offers instant access to life-saving defibrillation wherever you are. Giving you the confidence to respond quickly in any environment.

Low maintenance, no hidden costs and dedicated support

The HEART range of defibrillators self-test daily, with no additional servicing required, so first aiders can focus on what is in front of them. You’ll also receive expert aftercare, an industry-leading 8-year warranty and access to training in using your defibrillator and CPR training, keeping both your device and your team rescue-ready.

Everything you need, all in one place

Not only are we introducing our own range of St John Ambulance defibrillators, but we have also developed defibrillator accessories to help you prepare for any emergency. Simple enough for first-time users, yet durable and robust enough for professional responders.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What's the difference between the HEART One and HEART Two defibrillators?

The HEART Two has all the features of the HEART One, with the addition of a large colour display and multi-language support, providing enhanced guidance for the rescuer during a cardiac emergency.

Do you provide defibrillator training with the defibrillators?

Yes, St John Ambulance offers expert-led defibrillator training for workplaces and communities.

For example, you might opt for a 3-hour session where our trainers teach CPR and AED use, giving everyone hands-on practice with a trainer unit. For others, we can provide demo sessions or instructional videos.

What warranty do St John Ambulance defibrillators come with?

All HEART models come with an 8-year warranty period, in line with the majority of brands on the market. Note that the service life of the devices themselves is 10 years when kept in the recommended conditions.

Do HEART defibrillators require maintenance or ongoing costs?

Not at all. The HEART AEDs take care of themselves with daily self-tests.

Maintenance mainly involves periodically replacing the pads and battery (every 5 years or after use). There is no calibration or servicing required, and the devices will alert you audibly if something needs attention.

St John Ambulance can also help remind you about expirations if you register the product.

Are the HEARTs semi-automatic or fully-automatic?

All three of our HEART products, the HEART One, HEART Two and HEART Pocket, are semi-automatic defibrillators.

How is the HEART Pocket different from standard defibrillators?

Unlike our other defibrillator models, the HEART Pocket is designed to be carried at all times. Weighing only 700g, it's lightweight, pocket-sized and ready to use in emergencies. Ideal for first responders on the move.

Is the HEART Pocket durable for different environments?

The HEART Pocket is designed to be robust, with protection against dust and water (IP65 rated), and has a 1.5m drop tolerance for reliability in real-world situations.

Do I need a defibrillator in my workplace?

Although it's not legally required to have a defibrillator in your workplace, it is encouraged. Providing an automated external defibrillator helps improve emergency response and safety.

Can anyone use a defibrillator?

Yes. AEDs are designed to be used by anyone. Our HEART One and Two defibrillators provide clear voice and visual instructions, while the HEART Pocket provides just the Smart Voice Guidance. Our defibrillators will only deliver a shock if needed, meaning anyone can use one when it matters most.

Why should I invest in a St John Ambulance HEART defibrillator?

Having a defibrillator (AED) on-site can help save lives during cardiac arrest. St John Ambulance HEART defibrillators are some of the best devices out there, and are designed to be easy to use in workplaces, schools, public and community spaces.

Every aspect, feature and function is designed with the layperson first aider saving lives in mind. And all this is backed by our 8-year warranty and minimal ongoing costs, so you can buy with complete confidence.
