The BD Eclipse Needle is a single-use medical needle, with a unique safety mechanism that covers the point after use. It can be used for general purpose injections and aspirations of fluids from vials, ampoules and parts of the body below the surface of the skin. This version comes with a green needle hub, which indicates its gauge of 21G and 4cm in length. Designed and manufactured with safety and sustainability in mind, the needle cover guards against accidental needlestick during normal handling and disposal. It also comes with SmartSlip technology, which includes a clip that securely connects the Eclipse Needle to ISO-compliant BD Luer-Lok and Luer-Slip syringes. Easy to use with minimal training, the BD Eclipse needs only a single hand to activate the safety mechanism immediately, following injection. In fact, it meets testing requirements for the internationally recognised ISO 23908 standard for sharps injury protection, meaning that safety of the user is maintained.
