The ISEP Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workforce course is a practical, beginner‑friendly introduction to sustainability designed for all employees, regardless of role or industry. Formerly known as the IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workforce, the course offers a clear and engaging overview of environmental sustainability, helping learners understand how their everyday decisions impact the environment and how they can contribute to improving organisational performance.

Delivered over one day (or approximately 10 hours online), this course introduces key environmental concepts, risks, opportunities, compliance obligations, and sustainability issues. Learners take part in practical activities and workshops that demonstrate how sustainable practices can be integrated into daily tasks to reduce waste, support ISO 14001 objectives, improve environmental performance and strengthen overall business resilience.

The course is fully certified by ISEP – the professional body for sustainability and environmental practitioners – and is widely recognised across industries as an essential foundation for embedding sustainability into workplace culture.
