THERMARMOUR Baby Wrap

The THERMARMOUR Baby Wrap is a patented, innovative, emergency blanket that prevents hypothermia in critical situations. Designed and developed with clinicians and medics for newborns, it is suitable for full-term infants and babies up to one month old. It will maintain and restore normothermic temperatures based on a convection heat flow. The wrap can also be used as a pre-warming device for surgeries, as well as temperature management of trauma casualties.

Lightweight and latex-free, it is comprised of 4-layers that. No heat source is needed in order to use it, but it can be pre-warmed in a blanket warmer. Specifically, the interior is comprised of needle-punched polyester fleece that has been optimised for airflow and minimal linting. Above this, is an inner foil layer that provides strength and a moisture barrier. Sitting directly on top, is a central foil layer that is reflective, insulating with very low emissivity. Lastly, there is an outer foil layer that is non-conductive, soft to the touch, waterproof and windproof. Measuring at 55cm x 57cm, it can be cut to size if required.

Housed in compressed packaging, simply open and help the patient feel secure and comfortable in seconds. Unfold the wrap fully, placing the infant in the middle, and finish by wrapping with the foil side outwards. Of note, is a central opening for easy clinician access, as well as sealed sides to create a protective pouch. Both facilitate swift and efficient application during emergencies. The Baby Wrap also benefits from being x-ray compatible, meaning that there is no need to remove it in the event of taking images.

Because of its compact package, it can easily be stored and transported, making it ideal for emergency services, medical teams and first responders. Once used, it can be disposed of or recycled.
