The Fire Marshal Course - Isle of Man is delivered by St John Ambulance’s experienced trainers, combining real-world insight with hands-on learning.

We won't just tell you about first aid. We'll give you the confidence to deliver first aid when and where its needed.

This half-day course provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to take on fire marshal or fire warden responsibilities in the workplace. It is designed to help organisations meet legal requirements and maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Our Fire Marshal course covers fire safety legislation, fire prevention measures, and emergency evacuation procedures. Delegates will learn how to identify fire hazards, use extinguishers safely, and manage people during an emergency.

This course is ideal for anyone appointed as a fire marshal or warden, or those responsible for fire safety compliance. Upon completion, delegates receive a St John Ambulance certificate valid for three years.

The Fire Marshal Course will present an understanding of fire regulations and general fire precautions. It aims to provide you with the knowledge to be become a fire marshal.

This learning style is entirely classroom based and requires you to attend in person with a group of other delegates. This benefits those who prefer interactive sessions with the opportunity to ask questions to the instructor.

Our Fire Marshal course is suitable for:

  • those who are responsible for overseeing fire safety
  • designated fire marshals
  • anyone who needs to know how to use a fire extinguisher.

We also require that:

  • Delegates must be aged 16 or older to attend this course.
  • Delegates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2).
  • Delegates must complete all modules.
  • Delegates must act in a professional and appropriate manner, in line with our HEART values.

CERTIFICATION
Delegates who successfully complete this Fire Marshal Course will receive a St John Ambulance certificate of competence on completion of the course, valid for 3 years.

ASSESSMENT
Delegates will have continuous trainer observation during this course, and must demonstrate their understanding and competence on all course subjects.
