The Mental Health Advocate is delivered by St John Ambulance’s experienced trainers, combining real-world insight with hands-on learning.
St John Ambulance is a leading UK charity with over 140 years of experience in first aid education, trusted by thousands of organisations nationwide.
We won't just tell you about first aid. We'll give you the confidence to deliver first aid when and where its needed.

This one-day course empowers individuals to become visible, confident, and proactive champions for mental health in the workplace. Unlike Mental Health First Aiders who focus on crisis response, Mental Health Advocates help shape everyday culture by promoting wellbeing and reducing stigma.

Our Mental Health Advocate course is designed to complement Mental Health First Aid provision and encourage early intervention. Delegates will learn how to start supportive conversations, signpost colleagues to appropriate help, and lead initiatives that create a positive, mentally healthy work environment.

This course is ideal for anyone passionate about workplace wellbeing, including managers, team leaders, and HR professionals. Upon completion, delegates will be equipped to raise awareness, foster peer support, and act as a positive influence within their organisation.
